Dear Mike Hartline,
WOW, what an incredible performance against South Carolina! Hell, what an incredible performance all year! Last time I wrote you was after your first game this season when you led the Wildcats past Louisville. Since then you have had to take your fair share of criticism again but perhaps that will be erased once and for all after the South Carolina victory.
I guess it’s just the norm for someone who carries the Big Blue Nation’s season on their shoulders. Fans are high on you one week and ready for you to be pulled from the starting position the next. One thing is for sure, no one can doubt your play against Spurriers’ Gamecocks. Such sweet revenge on the team that ruined your season in 2009.
Well, let me get to the point of this letter. I could go on for ever talking about the ups and downs of Mike Hartline’s career at Kentucky. The past isn’t important. What you are doing this year on the field, despite the critics, is remarkable. 157-230-3 on the season with 1,791 yards, 13 touchdowns and 255.9 yards per game. More importantly, you’ve made great decisions all year. Most importantly, a HUGE win over South Carolina to help get your team back on track.
In closing, know that there aren’t just Mike Hartline haters out there. There are a larger amount of supporters. Just see for yourself…
Kind Regards,
Scott Z. and…
