DeAndre Daniels to Duke? Kyrie Irving Thinks So

Today in a teleconference, Kyrie Irving might have spilled the beans on where DeAndre Daniels is eventually going to end up to play college basketball.

This afternoon, on a teleconference to discuss his decision to enter the NBA Draft, Duke point guard Kyrie Irving may have let a big piece of news slip. Irving was asked by a reporter if, while considering his decision to turn pro, he thought about how good the Blue Devils could be in 2011-12 if he had opted to stay in school for another year.

Here was Irving’s answer: “That was definitely something I thought about considerably because of the talent we’ll have next year. I think that this year’s team was really special. And I thought next year’s team would be really special if I were to return. I think we have five recruits coming in with the addition of DeAndre Daniels. So that would be really special. Because that would give me the chance to lead the team similar to what Kemba Walker has done at UConn. Just being that leader and being the go-to guy on the team. So I thought that, if I were to return, we would be a really special team.”

Looks like the long twisted recruitment of DeAndre Daniels could be coming to an end very soon.
