There has been much speculation on the remaining choices for Cal’s 2011 recruiting class. We have spoken here before about Trevor Lacey, Adjehi Baru and Michael Chandler – and in my last article on the subject I said that the only other prospect I see as a possibility is 5-star SF DeAndre Daniels (#9 overall by Rivals). Rivals is now reporting that “sources close to Daniels’ situation” (I love that kind of reference) are reporting that he is down to four schools: Kansas, Florida, UCLA and Texas.
Now, I know that some of you are going to be upset that Kentucky is not mentioned, but like a critic once told me “Todd, you can’t get them all”. Another thing to remember is the fact that UK’s class is pretty loaded at that position anyway (especially if the NBA lockout happens). Cal would more probably be looking for either a big man (Baru) or another guard (Lacey). Either way, we’ll continue to let you know when the dominoes fall.
