I had the pleasure to see Hicks play in the Sweet 16 this past year. Hicks hit 6 of 10 three-point field goals and scored 30 points as Shelby County dropped a 90-80 decision to Ballard in the opening round of the PNC Boys’ Sweet 16. Hicks can shoot and he was the best player on the floor during the contest with Ballard. He has a very nice jumper and can penetrate if needed. Hicks will be a joy to watch during the next couple of years, and is the front runner for the 2013 Mr. Basketball race.
