Daniel Orton Will Enter NBA Draft: UPDATE #2

Just found out that Daniel Orton will test the waters of the NBA Draft. This is from Jerry Tipton’s Blog:

Kentucky reserve big man Daniel Orton will enter the NBA Draft, his father Larry said on Wednesday. His son will not hire an agent so he can retain the option of returning to UK next season, the elder Orton said.
Orton is expected to be one of several UK players entering the draft. Others expected to enter include fellow freshmen John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins, plus junior forward Patrick Patterson.
According to NCAA rules, underclassmen have until May 8 to withdraw from the NBA Draft and retain their college eligibility.
When UK played in the NCAA Tournament East Region at Syracuse, N.Y., freshman guard Eric Bledsoe also expressed an interest in entering the draft.
Larry Orton made it sound like his son would enter the draft in order to learn how viable he was as a NBA prospect. “Just to see where he is,” the player’s father said.

One down, 4 to go. You know if Orton is going to test the waters, all the others are. It is just a matter of time. I just hope Bledsoe doesn’t hire an agent either.
