Daniel Orton Could Change UK History

Daniel Orton has been burning bridges with UK fans as of late. It’s not really important to rehash them all since you can find it all here. What could be the very lat straw for UK fans is if his recent behaviors and activities drop him from the first round of the NBA draft and cause Kentucky to miss out on the chance at making history.

One bit of history will be made tonight, and that is John Wall becoming the first Kentucky player to be drafted at the number one spot. The second piece of history would be five players from the same school being drafted in the first round. It’s never been done. Four players from one school have went in the first round on a few occasions, but never five. Kentucky could be the first but the questions around Orton bring some uncertainty to achieving it. With some NBA personnel suggesting “he could fall a long way” and “could fall right out of the first round”, it’s not looking good.

So the question is, does Orton cost Kentucky the chance to make history tonight? If he does, are you going to BOOOO him, post comments on the internet and wake up in the middle of the night with cold sweats wondering how to get back at him? Or will it just be an “oh well” moment and life goes on?
