Could the class of 2013 be the best for UK?

Can Kentucky have the best class in 2013? If they can land these four guys it will be hard to argue otherwise, and it might just be the best collection of talent coach Cal has ever brought to Kentucky.

Nerlens Noel: The top five big man has been called the best defensive player since Greg Oden by Dave Telep, which is high praise. He is a monster shot blocker and knows to always jump second so he doesn’t rack up fouls quickly. Offensively he is a load in the paint and can score with either hand. What really stands out about him is the fact that so many guys in the class of 2013 want to play with him.

Chris Walker: Another top five big man, Walker is more of a face up player but can score in multiple ways. He is also a fantastic defender and a willing teammate. He is possibly the second best rebounder behind Noel and would be a great compliment to him. Chris has been vocal in his desire to play with Nerlens as well

Chris Thomas: Thomas is one of the most prolific scorers in the nation when it comes to the class of 2013. He can make shots from deep and gets into the lane whenever he wants. He is a bit of a combo guard, which makes him useful both on the floor and when recruiting other guards.

Isaiah Lewis: A New York native, Lewis brings a certain toughness and swagger to the floor, something that all great NY guards seem to have. Like Thomas, Lewis can get into the lane with ease or knock down the open jumper although he needs to extend his range. He is a great passer as well so having him in the backcourt as well would provide coach Cal with a multitude of options in his line up. Expect Lewis to shoot up the rankings like NY counterpart Omar Calhoun is currently doing in the class of 2012.

What do you all think? Will Kentucky land all four of these guys? Will Julius Randle and/or the Harrison twins end up joining them?
