The snow flakes are falling like Duke’s team playing twister here in Kentucky and I have had a lot of time to think about my conspiracy theory for the Vanderbilt game. If there is one player that needs a great performance today it is Patrick Patterson. After the negative facebook messages, not attempting a field goal in the 2nd half 2 out of the last 3 games, and the national media wondering what is wrong with him; I think it is PPat to the rescue today at Rupp.
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]We will see a more concentrated effort to run more offensive sets to get Patterson the ball in the paint. Patterson said himself that he has watched tape and he looks more like a perimeter player over the last couple of games. I think today will be a statement game for the Cats. Get the ball inside to Mighty Joe Young! Everyone knows he is a stud and not a “lottery role player,” which I have called him in the past. John Calipari knows that Pat has to be involved, and you know he has been motivating Pat to do more. Pat should be a monster on the glass and being more assertive and active in the paint is exactly what we will see today. Watch out Australia, here comes the rejunevated PPat to the rescue!!
