Commonwealth Stadium Ranked 10th In SEC

Recently a columnist in South Carolina ranked the stadiums in the SEC. Kentucky didn’t rank to high. Commonwealth Stadium came in 10th (of 12) while this Saturday’s opponent Florida and their Ben Hill Griffin stadium came in 2nd. UK fans seems optimistic about this weeks game, but I wonder what the chatter would be if we were playing at Commonwealth?
[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]Here is what Ron Morris had to say:
2. FLORIDA, BEN HILL GRIFFIN STADIUM
All you need to know about The Swamp is that its capacity is 88,000 and Florida has averaged more than 90,000 fans per home game every season since 2005. Oh, and opponents can’t help but watch in awe as all 90,000 folks stand and sway while singing “We Are the Boys from Old Florida” at the end of the third quarter.

10. KENTUCKY, COMMONWEALTH STADIUMThe best thing about this place is its skyboxes, which are located in the end zones. That’s where all too-wealthy, sit-in-their-seats boosters should be housed.

The 90,000 that fill Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday will almost certainly be expecting a win to extend their streak to 24 years. All UK fans will be looking for the upset. The environment will be hostile for the Cats and Hartline will have to maintain the composure of the offense.

Could this year be the one? Could the Wildcats beat Florida in front of 90k? I hope so!

GO BIG BLUE!
