UK head coach John Calipari took a few minutes today to get on the phone with Mike & Mike on ESPN Radio to talk about the state of Kentucky basketball, the rumors of him going to the NBA to coach LeBron and Kentucky being a recruiting powerhouse right now. Coach Cal is humble stating that the recent recruiting power came from the success last year, the 5 draft Cats going in the first round and the fact that it changed those families lives.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
“Flavor of the month…” is what Coach Cal referred to it as. Duke has had it, North Carolina has had it, Florida had it after winning back to back championships and now Kentucky has it. Kentucky is picking the kids to play on the team and turning kids down that have Kentucky on their list.
