He was consistently aggressive, active and scored from all over the floor on Day 2. Behanan finished with power above the rim on the break. He used his great strength and wide body to attack defenders and finish through contact with ease. He faced and scored off the dribble in traffic or drew the foul. Behanan also hit the trail 3 without hesitation. He drove from the high post after moving the defender with ball and foot fakes, scoring at the rim with great body control and touch. Behanan also was great at passing the ball when he attracted multiple defenders as he attacked the lane. He rebounded at both ends and seemed impossible to box out.

Looks like Kentucky needs to start noticing this kid and quick. Roy Williams and Bill Self are said to be very interested and have already contacted Chane. Looks like it is time for Kenny or Orlando to step it up, especially since it is an instate product. I think we have to get all of the in state talent that can play at Kentucky and in Coach Cal’s system. Behanan is definitely fits that mold.
Update: Chane Behanan was named MVP of the entire NBAPA Event.
