Can Cat Fans Ever Forget 1992?

Mike Decourcy has the most positive outlook I have ever read of the Christian Laettner debacle in the Spectrum back in 1992. He even compares it to Rocky, and says the BBN should not cringe when that game is brought up.

Kentucky fans generally cringe upon its mention, but they ought to reconsider. That game propelled UK forward to a dynasty in which the Cats reached four Final Fours, three title games and two championships in a five-year period.
As with the title character in “Rocky,” there was glory in defeat.

I love the comparison to Rocky, but I really will never stop cringing when I see that play. Never!!
