Calipari Hits Recruiting Trail After Win Over Bulldogs

After a dramatic win over Mississippi State last night, John Calipari didn’t waste the opportunity to see some of his recruits. He made the short trip to the Memphis-area today.

Calipari visited Briarcrest Christian Academy to see 2013 big man Austin Nichols.

At 6-foot-9, Nichols is being pursued by some of the best programs in the Southeast, along with Duke, North Carolina, and Memphis; the junior attended the Loyola (MD) game earlier in the year.

Nichols said he didn’t really have the chance to speak with Calipari.

Calipari also traveled into the city of Memphis to visit Jarnell Stokes’ old stomping grounds to see another great star from Memphis, Johnathan Williams, III.

Williams is among the top-ten recruits in the Class of 2013 by Rivals.com, and he is also another great forward in the class.

He is also being pursued by Memphis, Louisville, Florida, Texas, and Arkansas, among others.

Just a hint: keep your eye (or ear) open for these two guys, especially Nichols.
