The Sporting News picked up on John Calipari’s jab at “bitter old men” today and they are pretty sure it is Bobby Knight.
“All these are good kids,” Kentucky coach John Calipari said on the school’s site. “We had a GPA as a team for this term with five players who are leaving early, so all this stuff bitter old men say that they don’t go to class, it’s not true.”

Calipari’s remarks were clearly aimed at Bob Knight, who has criticized Calipari’s methods in recent years.
In April 2011, speaking at an event in Indiana, said, “Kentucky, year before last, started five players in the NCAA Tournament games that had not been to class that semester. And that’s that one-and-done philosophy that we have now.”

Days after he made that remark, Knight apologized.Kentucky’s big three freshmen—Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marquis Teague—combined for a GPA “well above 3.0” the site said, without revealing individual grades

And I thought he was talking about Jerry Tipton?
Listen starting about the 4 minute mark:

I guess it could be towards both, because Cal definitely went after Jerry in that press conference.
