The CATS take down the Portland Pilots with ease in a 79-48 win. It was great to see another strong performance and this time they hit their free throws. Shooting 47% from the three point line and 75% from the free throw line, this is definitely a much better shooting team than last year.
The CATS also showed they can play defense! Portland shot 31% from the field and 21.1% from the three point line. They also held one of the best three point shooters in the nation to only one three pointer (1-6).

Here are a few observations…
Doron Lamb – I continue to be impressed by how much this guy can score. He takes the court and he’s probably one of the last person you would expect to hurt you. Then, he lights you up! It seems to come from anywhere and just when you think you’ve covered the three, he manages to slip in for an easy two.
Brandon Knight – WOW! That’s all I’ll say
Terrence Jones – I think Calipari is going to kill him if he shoots another three, but outside of that, it looks like he can do anything. With 12pts, 5reb, 3ast, 2blks, and 1stl, it’s hard to figure out what position this guy actually plays. He’s everywhere.
Darius Miller – I was happy to see Miller have a strong night. He finishes with 15pts, 5stl, and 4blks. He was definitely involved.
This was great to see considering he seemed to disappear in the previous two games.
