Brandon Knight was Spectacular in Canada

He’ll be the most talked about point guard and Kentucky Wildcat until at least the middle of September when full practice begins. Brandon Knight had three spectacular performances in Canada during the Wildcats August exhibition tour. Not only did he show his talent shooting the ball, Knight also proved he was able to lead and make his teammates better.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

During yesterday’s final exhibition game against the Windsor Lancers, Knight put up 27 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 9 assists. During game one Knight shot 71% from inside the line, 1-5 from behind the arc and 11-15 overall for 58%. He also shot 8-8 from the charity stripe leading to a game high 31 total points. On Monday Knight had a double-double with 17 points and 12 assists, showing he can get others involved.

The real talk is with Knights ability to control the ball and limiting turnovers while still moving up the court with blazing speed. He is fast.

While everyone is cautious to not compare him to John Wall, some people wonder ‘why not?’ after seeing him play the last few days. Knight will be his own man. Not as good as Wall? As good as Wall? Better than Wall?

Only time will tell. Until then, we’ll get the pleasure of watching him as a Wildcat!
