Arkansas and Memphis Stand Out for Jarnell Stokes

Jarnell Stokes has blown up the last couple of weeks on the AAU circuit, and 6’8″ power forward is using his versatility to out play defenders.

Stokes’ ability to outmuscle smaller defenders and get past slower opponents enables him to get to the free-throw line at an extremely rate and score efficiently in the post.

“Most defenders can’t guard inside and out,” he said. “I’m trying to play my best, bring effort to the floor. But there’s a lot more to improve on.”

Stokes ranks No. 16 in [URL=”http://www.maxpreps.com/news/q2LpYabLEeCkhgAcxJSkrA/muhammad-takes-over-top-spot-in-class-of-2012-top-100.htm”][COLOR=#3b5998]CBSSports.com’s Top 100[/COLOR][/URL], and he has plenty of schools on his trial. Recently, though, he named his top six schools: Connecticut, Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida, Memphis and Tennessee.

Out of that group, Arkansas and Memphis are standing out.

With the mass amounts of forwards Kentucky is recruiting, it will be interesting to see how hard Cal pursues Stokes.
