Are UK Basketball Fans Satisified?

This years basketball team is definitely different than last years team. They may lack the larger than life personalities/talent of a John Wall or Demarcus Cousins, but they do have something that last years team didn’t have. They can shoot!!

So which team is better? I’m sure we could debate that throughout the rest of the season. What might be a better question is this…”How satisfied are you with this years team?”

Let’s take a look at fan satisfaction for this years team and compare it to last years.

The StatSheet Fan Satisfaction Trend is a measure how fans feel about a team at particular point during the season. Is the team meeting expectations? Are they playing well? After each game we update the satisfaction score which builds on the results of previous games. We’ve built a complex algorithm that uses a variety of factors to compute the satisfaction score.

Here’s last years team vs. this year…

Now let’s take a second to compare it to the satisfaction scores for UofL fans…

Now.. After looking at this, you can completely understand why UofL will always be little brother. Their fans are just not passionate enough. It’s amazing to see their scores this high, even after the loss to Drexel!! Could you imagine what our scores would have been after a loss to Drexel?

Whenever UK fans talk about Drexel, It’s only a matter of time before some Loserville fan brings up Gardner Webb. So let’s take a look at the satisfaction scores from that season UK fans would rather forget..

It’s obvious to see which fan base is more passionate about their team. It’s this passion that has made us great in the past and put us in position to beat down Loserville on Saturday!

Now I’ll leave you with a few questions….
