Former Kentucky Wildcat Antoine Walker has been waived by a team in Puerto Rico after only 8 games.
The former NBA star is facing huge monthly payments in an attempt to pay off over $800,000 in gambling debts and to avoid jail time.
During his time with the Guaynabo Mets, Walker averaged 12.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. His time was not extended, however, and the Mets parted ways with the troubled Walker.
One has to wonder what’s next for the former NBA star. If he is unable to pay back his gambling debt, it will be difficult for Walker to avoid time behind bars.
