I can only imagine the frustration the Davis camp has endured over the past week. First they were in the news with reports that Davis Jr. had decided which school he would attend, although the news would be held for a few weeks. This came after supposed unofficial visits last weekend to Kentucky and DePaul. Then came a story that Davis was…ah heck let me just say this. Then came the Chicago Sun Times audacity in full force.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]Davis, a forward who has went from basically unknown a top 10 prospect within a matter of weeks was able to put all of that behind him and produced 23 points and 9 rebounds during a game that had 20 NBA scouts in attendance.
While speaking to the media after the game and as reported by Maxpreps.com, Anthony Davis denied that he has come to a decision about his college destination.
“Some of the schools I was playing with weren’t really known and a lot of people didn’t know about me,” Davis said. “When I started playing with Meanstreets and started playing in big tournaments, I broke out and everybody was like ‘Who is this Anthony Davis kid?’
“Everybody started checking me. I kept playing the same way every game and every tournament and college coaches started noticing me. They started offering me and things started getting better for me.”
