Andre Drummond has come to a decision. As he was one of the top players in his class, Drummond will remain one of the top-tier guys. He is staying in the Class of 2012.
The 6-foot-10 big man will transfer to Wilbraham and Monson rather than returning to St. Thomas More in Connecticut. He joins his close friend Kris Dunn.
He also has a list of five school: UConn, Kentucky, Louisville, Georgetown, and West Virginia.
”I have a good relationship with all of those coaching staffs,” said Drummond. “They all have a chance to compete for a national championship, and they prepare their players well for the next level.”
But don’t count on Drummond going to college. Many expect him to opt for the 2012 NBA Draft when it rolls around. This is what Drummond had to say about those rumors:
”I’d like to continue to learn about that option,” he said, “but I’m not going to be making any decisions before the spring either way. I don’t think I’ll have too much to say about it until then. Most people have been really great about respecting my privacy through this process and I really appreciate that. I’m just ready to get back to school and basketball.”
