A Colossal Injustice

If you watched the Kentucky vs. Cornell Sweet 16 game, there is one question that is left unanswered and has viewers, not just UK fans, but all viewers baffled. Even Jay Bilas could not believe the call, or lack thereof. The play we are talking about is when Jeff Foote decided to slam Boogie to the floor.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

When asked about the play Cousins said “I basically got slung to the ground, I was expecting an intentional foul… If I did something even close to that, I would have been ejected.” DeMarcus also joked that if he had tried to make the play look worse than it already was, “I’d probably gotten a technical for that.” Even teammates are at a loss. “That’s really amazing, the way he up and threw DeMarcus down,” Daniel Orton said. “It makes no sense at all not to be an intentional foul.”

After the whistle was blown the officials went to the monitor to review. At first blow, it appeared they were just calling a personal foul. However after a short pause two officials collaborated and decided to review it. During the review the play was shown a few times and it was obvious it was intentional and everyone seemed to think that would be the final ruling. However after a short review, the officials returned with the same call, a 2 shot personal foul. Unbelievable.
