Congrats to Trevard Lindley and John Conner sign four year contracts with their respective NFL teams. It’s nice to write this kind of post in the off season. I’m hoping Operation Win makes the NFL draft a hot topic for years to come.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed in the fourth round and for a four year contract. The contract is valued somewhere around $2.31 million.
Lindley started all four seasons in Kentucky and didn’t make a dime. This time, he’s going to get paid! For the first year of the contract Lindley will make $320K, $405K for the second, $409 for year three and $575K for year four. Not to mention a signing bonus around $525K.
John Conner also signed a four year deal for $1.99M that also included a signing bonus of $199K. There’s also some type of escalator feature in the fourth year that could make the contract worth over @2.7M.
It was also reported that Conner said “It’s a fairytale situation” when asked about signing with the Jets.
Do you think he would have said that if we were talking about the Jet’s before 2005?
