Chris Low has decided that Greg Nord’s Special Teams is ranked 8th in the SEC.
8. Kentucky: If the Wildcats had a proven place-kicker, they’d probably be ranked several spots higher. Junior punter Ryan Tydlacka will also do the kicking this season. He tied for ninth in the league in punting last season and has excellent hang time. He hopes to give the Wildcats some consistency on field goals after Lones Seiber’s up-and-down career. Where Kentucky will be outstanding is the return game with Derrick Locke and Randall Cobb, both of whom had touchdowns last season.
The return game should be exciting as usual, but I’m being optimistic about the kicking game this year for once. I will not miss Lones, by any means, and him being gone has to be a plus. Also, don’t forget about the highly rated kicker Joe Mansour who was an All=American in high school. Mansour is a long-range kicker who had six field goals over 50 yards during his career. Sieber would have to kick it twice to kick it 50! I look for a lot better year from Special Teams than 8th in the SEC.

Hope we see a lot of these this year!!
