The last season to wear the Blue and White of Kentucky, and possibly the last time he’ll ever play competitive football.
Coming off his best season yet, Locke compiled 1,171 all-purpose yards, including 907 yards on 195 carries. The Hugo, Oklahoma native averaged 99.25 yards of total offense per game, playing in 12 contests last season.

No doubt he’d love nothing more then to win the SEC East, play in the SEC Championship and have the opportunity to go to a major bowl. I’m pretty sure he’d trade all of the individual credit and attention for a Senior season that tops all expectations.
Going into the season, Derrick’s individual talent hasn’t gone unnoticed. He has been named a candidate for the 2011 Doak Walker Award. The award is given annually to the nation’s premier collegiate football running back.

Locke will begin his Senior season September 4, as he dismantles the Louisville defense at Papa John Stadium, ending his final match against the Cards with bragging rights for a lifetime.
Go Cats!!!
