Another Saturday, another non-conference opponent. If you are a Kentucky fan, you have to love the games when we don’t play SEC teams. If you are going to the game, you are most definitely going to watch a win… so that makes the tailgating even better. I like these type of games because certain players are going to get a chance to improve. DeQuin Evans needs to come out of his no tackle funk today and get about 10 vs. the Zips. Our defense as a whole needs to concentrate on the run, especially before they travel to the Swamp and Jeffrey Demps. Last and not least, Craig McIntosh will have his first chance at a first impression as he is supposed to take over the kicking role today… We will see how that goes. I look for the Cats to roll today, so I will say Cats 45, Akron 13.

[*]Tyrone Pearson, defensive tackle for Louisville Seneca, is going to Ohio State today for an unofficial visit. Pearson is a 2013 and has already been offered by Kentucky and Louisville.

I can’t stress enough how important it is for Joker to get involved in recruiting the talent in Louisville. Charlie Strong has offered half the town, so Joker needs to stay involved in- state as much as he does in Georgia.
[*]If you watched it yesterday, Matt Jones and John Clay was on Outside the Lines. I thought it went really well, but in saying that, I could think of better theater. How about Marc Maggard, Jerry Tipton, Matt Jones, and Danny Jett talking on Outside the Lines with Bob Ley. That would be something.
