Mike Hartline’s Week of Destiny

This is the week. The week all of the Mike Hartline haters have been waiting for. Florida.. The Swamp… Ok, everyone that reads this site knows I have supported Mike Hartline from day 1. From early practice to the Spring game and through the first 3 games of the season. So far, things are looking good for Mike and ole Scott. This is the week everything could go crazy.

There is no question, at least in my mind, that you could combine the 3 teams the Cats have played this season and still not beat a SEC team. Maybe not even Ole Miss.. well maybe Ole Miss. But this week is totally different. If Mike Hartline does what no quarterback in my lifetime has done, which is to beat Florida, the Cats would have a great shot to go 5-0. Of course, I started the last sentence with the biggest word in Kentucky football history. If.

I think a whole lot of things have to go right for the Cats to have a chance to win this week. The Cats have to stop Jeffrey Demps. They have to play great on special teams. The thing about it, to the fanbase, it won’t matter if those things don’t happen. It will all fall in the lap of my boy Mike Hartline. It will not matter if Mike has a 170.16 quarterback rating in his 1st 3 games. It will not matter if Mike is the only QB to beat Louisville 3 times. It all matters about SEC play, and that is what the fans and haters are waiting on.

So all of you “fans” get ready for Saturday night.. You will either eat crow or you will start cracking the whip on Mike Hartline. The thing is, I think Mike will be just fine either way. Just remember, Lorenzen, Couch, and Woodson never beat Florida either. Just maybe though, this could be the year. Would that change the fans opinion of Mike Hartline? I hope we get to find out!! Go Cats!!

Here is Mike talking about the Akron game and the upcoming Florida Game.
