Florida’s Urban Meyer has been talking all week that he is worried about his team’s upcoming game with the Cats. Of course, he is worried about the Cats offense, which leads the SEC in points per game. He is also worried about his offense as well, as their center acts like Chuck Knoblauch more often than not. This is from the Orlando Sentinel:

After slow starts in Florida’s first three games, coach Urban Meyer was happy with the progress the offense made throughout the week.
The No. 9 Gators (3-0, 1-0 SEC) haven’t scored in the first quarter this season, a streak Meyer hopes will end when Kentucky (3-0, 0-0) comes to the Swamp on Saturday night.
“Just the pitch and catch, I think, has been much better. I think the receivers are starting to get healthy and legs back, ’cause I think they were blown out a little bit during training camp,” Meyer said. “And we’re getting a little bit of depth. You’re seeing Stephen Alli, you’re seeing Andre Debose get going, and they have to.”
Meyer said Debose had a good week in practice. The redshirt freshman has played in the past two games but does not have a reception. He missed last season after undergoing surgery for a nagging hamstring injury.
Quick hits
— Chris Rainey has had no contact with the team following his arrest Sept. 14 on a charge of felony aggravated assault, Meyer said. “I’m not even thinking about that,” he said. “I’m letting everything be handled. At some point we’ll have to address it. That point’s not now.”
— Junior offensive lineman Matt Patchan continues to recover from a broken wrist. He will not play this week.
— WR Omarius Hines missed practice Thursday with a “ding,” after getting hit in the head in practice this week, Meyer said.
— Freshman DT Dominique Easley missed practice Thursday to attend a funeral in New York. Meyer said he would return to the team Friday

Having not scored in the 1st quarter the entire year is incredible for a Flordia team that is ranked 9th in the country. The Cats need to exploit this weakness and jump on them quick. The Gators are definitely a 2nd half team, and if the Cats can gain a lead and hold on and weather a hard charging storm in the 2nd half the Cats could do something no Blue team has done in 23 years. If the Cats win tonight this season’s goals could be endless. Go Cats!!
