After a hot start to the season, Joker Phillips and the Kentucky Wildcats now have lost 2 straight and fall to 3-2 on the season. They started off quick today against the Ole Miss Rebels with a quick score up until the offense stalled and gave up 3 turnovers that led to scores. Despite being down by 22 points, the Wildcats kept fighting and pulled the game back to within a single score before giving up an onside kick and then a big run to prevent them from having a chance to get the ball back for a last ditch chance.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
This was a game the Wildcats had to win to get to 8-4 on the season. Now it seems as if 7-5 will be the best we can do. I’d hate to be overly pessimistic but after seeing the loss to Florida and now Ole Miss, there would have to be a night and day turn around to get better than that by the end of the season.
