Faulkner Evaluation:
Faulkner is an underrated safety prospect with a great blend of size, range and physicality. While he possesses great physical tools, he’s a savvy, instinctive athlete. Makes quick, decisive reads and times his break accurately. Very active to the football displaying great range and pursuit speed; takes sharp, direct angles with little wasted motion. A guy who can cover the whole field but does appear to have better range than true speed. Gets downhill fast on run support; could tighten up angles but he still finds the football fast and is difficult to outflank to the perimeter. Does need to work on breaking down more control in space and wrapping up firmly as a tackler. Faulkner has a ton of upside and natural ability that should be attracting more college attention in our eyes.
