It seems like I have heard this story before. If the Cats beat Vanderbilt this week, they are bowl eligible. It seems like that is a broken record I know, but our bottom dwelling buddies from the Music City is our obstacle again to get to Nashville, Memphis, or some other place in Tennessee. Maybe they can start the Dollywood Bowl and we can all go to Pigeon Forge in December. Most projections have the Cats going to Tennessee and either playing North Carolina in the Music City, or playing a Conference USA team no one really cares about in Graceland. I guess the only chance the Cats have of playing in sand is if they take Derrick Locke’s son to the playground. Now for some news:

[*]UK will play the first women’s basketball game in the country, an 11am tipoff Friday vs Morehead St.
[*]Kentucky went out to check on 2012 LB/RB Craig Jones from Central Catholic in Modesto, CA. last week.
[*]I do have a little Enes news that I tweeted out earlier in the day, and that is a friend of mine which is a student at UK got a chance to speak to Enes Kanter this past weekend. Enes seemed confident that he would hear something this week about his elgibility. Lets hope he is right.
[*]Seneca defensive end Tyrone Pearson received an offer from Illinois today. Kentucky has also offered the 2012 recruit.
[*]Wednesday starts the early signing period for basketball recruits and the entire 2011 class is expected to go ahead and put their name on the dotted line. It will be interesting to see if it is a financial aid agreement or a LOI in which they sign.
[*]I plan on attending both the ETSU and Vanderbilt games this weekend. I am also trying to talk myself into leaving a little early and watching the Hoops team play my alma mater MSU. AS the week goes on it might be easier and easier to make that decision. Everyone have a great week!! Go Cats!!
