On Senior Day, the Wildcats got the job done and earned bowl eligibility with a win against Vanderbilt. The final score at Commonwealth was 38-20 and now Kentucky has just one more game ahead of them before finding out which bowl game they will play in. This is the first consecutive win for the Wildcats since the first three games which is a good feeling in Big Blue Nation.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
Rushing was the name of the game today with Locke and Cobb combining for 315 yards. Cobb had one for 73 and Locke one for 83. Mike Hartline threw for 232 yards and 1 touchdown in his final home game. All in all, it was a good day for the team and for the 60,391 fans in attendance.
The only real down side to today’s game was that viewers at home didn’t get to see the 83 yard run from Locke due to technical difficulties. Hopefully we’ll find a good video of it for a future Wildcats Play of the Day.
11 down, 1 to go. GO BIG BLUE!
