Cats lose again…Is anyone really surprised? The Cats came out like gangbusters with a Derrick Locke touchdown and took the lead 7-0. The turning point of the game came early with a fumbled snap on the Volunteer 2 yard line and it was all downhill from there. It also didn’t help when the Cats decided to punt the ball on 4th and 2 and Ryan Tydlacka’s punt went into the endzone and the Vols drove down the field to put the game out of reach with a field goal. The Cats just couldn’t string anything together offensively and the defense couldn’t stop the pass.
The Cats will now have to wait to see what bowl they will go to, but it looks like it will end up in Birmingham for some bowl I really don’t care about. I hate to be right about Kentucky football, but it looks like it is the same ole stuff for over a quarter of a century now against the boys from Knoxville.
