Documents filed Tuesday in Evansville reveal allegations of battery against Morehead State head coach Sean Woods.
According to Lex18.com:
An affidavit signed on Tuesday in Evansville states that on or around November 19, Woods knowingly or intentionally touched basketball player Moliq Maitland in a rude, insolent, or angry manner by striking him, resulting in bodily injury.
The paperwork also states that another player, Sousiyane Diakite, is also accusing the coach of battery.
On November 19, the University of Evansville played Morehead State at the Ford Center.
Maitland told police that during half-time in the locker room, Woods backhanded him in the chest, causing him pain.
Diakite said that Woods shoved him twice, once during a timeout and again in the locker room.
He also stated he witnessed Woods striking Maitland.
The affidavit states that an officer with Morehead State University Police Department contacted an officer in Evansville, stating two basketball players came forward to say were battered by Woods while in Evansville.
