I just received a phone call from Louisville commit DaMarcus Smith and he wanted to set things straight with all the talk about his commitment which was brought up in the [URL=”http://www.nationofblue.com/damarcus-smith-fence-louisville-4272/”]interview I had with him yesterday.[/URL]
DaMarcus said he did a lot of thinking yesterday and had a chance to get all of his emotions in check and spoke to several people that have been with him throughout the recruiting process and [B]he has decided to stick to his commitment to the Cardinals. [/B]
DaMarcus said, “I am a great competitor and also a great teammate.” “I am not going to be someone that is selfish and worry about who is going to play.” “I am going to work hard at Louisville because that is where my heart is.”
He reiterated that he is a team player and and he is going to work hard while he is at Louisville. Right before we hung up he said, [B]”I know I said I was a soft commit yesterday, but I am definitely a firm commit to the University of Louisville.”[/B]
