Derrick Locke at Senior Bowl

Kentucky senior Derrick Locke is turning some heads as his South team prepares for the Under Armor Senior Bowl being played in Alabama on Saturday. It seems that those checking out the workouts are appreciating the speed he has on the field.

Here is what the official website of the Under Armor Senior Bowl says about Locke:
Was running the ball at an incredible pace before an injury in the Auburn game sidelined him for the next four games … The injury somewhat obscured an otherwise outstanding season … Ended the season with 166 carries, 887 yards and 10 touchdowns … Before getting injured vs. Auburn, Locke had rushed for 100 yards or more in four of his five games, including a career-high 166 yards against Akron … Returned to the UK backfield against Vanderbilt, gathering 145 yards on the ground and two touchdowns … Caught eight passes for a career-high 108 yards at Ole Miss … Won the inaugural Howard Schnellenberger Award given to the most valuable player in the UK-UL game when he rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns.

The game can be seen on the NFL Network Saturday at 4:00pm Eastern.
