Kentucky to Host Big Recruits this Weekend

Joker Phillips has already picked up pledges from Thomas Chapman and Josh Harris for the Class of 2012. While fans are pleased with the early in-state commitments, they will not be satisfied.

The Kentucky staff has an opportunity to ‘wow’ defensive end Pierre Aka (Class of 2012, Pike HS, Ill.) this weekend, as he is taking trips around the south to get closer to programs.

Aka told my friend Cody McKee (@Clmckee86) that “[he wants] to see a confident coaching staff, and a great campus and facilities.”

The 6’4″ star currently holds offers from Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Toledo, and Western Michigan.

However, Aka isn’t the only recruit that will be present this weekend.

2013 star quarterback Kyle Bolin of Lexington Catholic will also make a short drive to campus and see what the ‘Cats have to offer.

Bolin is one of the most sought after play-callers the class has to offer, and UK will need to impress the sophomore.

Illinois is currently the only team to offer him a scholarship, but he has also received interest from Ohio State, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and, of course, Kentucky.

Don’t be surprised if Bolin adds another offer here soon.
