Scout Releases Rankings for Class of 2012

Finally, after weeks of anticipation, Scout.com has released their early rankings for the Class of 2012.

Kentucky looks to be well-represented early, with dozens of players (including commitments) located in the mix for the top of each respective position.

Here are some that stick out when looking through the rankings for Kentucky fans….

Josh Harris, RB (Committed to UK)

Harris was the initial commitment for Joker Phillips and Co. this spring. While many expect Harris to play on the defensive side of the ball, Scout has him listed as a running back, and the 40th back overall, earning him three stars.

Patrick Towles, QB (Committed to UK)

Towles is the latest junior to give the ‘Cats a pledge, as he gave his word late last week. The 6’5″, dual threat quarterback is ranked 23rd overall at his position, also earning three stars; Towles also recently broke his collarbone in Highlands’ spring practice.

Joe Manley, OG (Undecided)

When you try to look for the biggest prospects in this class, Joe Manley is easily in the running. At 6’6″, 305 lbs., Manley is getting attention from dozens of schools. His size, along with his impressive blocking skills earn him three stars and the 38th overall offensive guard in the class.

Joe Bolden, OLB (Undecided)

Bolden is one of the many Ohio prospects UK is giving an eye. He has a list of long offers that continue to grow each week. Likewise, his value keeps rising. He has been awarded four stars and is ranked the 27th overall outside linebacker.

Daniel Ross, DE (Undecided)

Ross could easily be one of the next commitments for UK. The coaching staff is really making him a top priority, as he is one of Kentucky’s top prospects. He earns three stars and is the 55th overall-ranked defensive-end.
