What’s that smell in the air? Is it the neighbor’s grill fired up for a spring cookout? Is it fresh cut grass after your first mow of the season? Is it the smell your son’s baseball mitt as you attend all of his little league games?
No. It’s the smell of football my friends.
Yes, I support all Kentucky sports but the big two are what bring the crowds. Basketball and football. Though Kentucky has been hanging around at the bottom of the SEC for the majority of their time in the league, they have managed to gain respect throughout the last several years. Beating top teams such as LSU, Auburn, Georgia and South Carolina have gained the Cats some respect.
Since this year’s team is a bit of a mystery, this weekend marks the perfect time for you to come and check out their annual spring football game. Scott gave you all of the ins and outs of this years scrimmage, and let me tell you, this is a game worth attending. Word is coming out of camp that Morgan Newton is gaining more control and his arm is looking strong. We all know Danny Trevathan is a beast and I am looking forward to seeing how Raymond Sanders is stepping up.
The spring game is a great way to fill your pigskin tank and get you excited about the season next fall. I’ll see you all there this Saturday at 3!
GO FOOTBALL CATS!
