Trinity Offensive Lineman Enjoys Kentucky Camp

Trinity High School had tons of players present at Kentucky’s Skills Camp Sunday, and as expected, the group boasted a great day altogether.

John Michael Heile, a rising senior and one of the better offensive linemen in the state of Kentucky, was the first to brag about how his fellow teammates performed.

“My teammates did really well. Trinity was well-represented,” he said in a proud manner.

Heile wasn’t upset with his overall day, either. In fact, he thought he took a couple of steps in the right direction.

“My day went really well,” he began. “I got timed earlier in the day, and then I thought I did really well in all the drills.”

He couldn’t complain about his third visit to UK; in fact, he had a lot of praising for the staff and how the camp was organized.

“I had a great time, and it was just a great day. It was my first camp to begin and I think it’s easily going to be the best,” Heile complimented.

“I’m pretty familiar with Kentucky, but I really enjoyed myself.”

Heile also felt very positive about his one-on-one appearances, as did he feel about the rest of his teammates, most notably his fellow Trinity linemen, Tyler Sweeden and Tyler English.

“I don’t think I saw a Trinity guy get beat in one-on-ones,” he explained. “The only time it was close was when two teammates of mine went up against each other, and it was a deadlock then.”

The intelligent soon-to-be senior thinks Trinity’s grueling workouts and the way the program is run was because of the results at camp.

“I love the way our program is run at Trinity. We work hard, and it translates to the field, and, in this case, the camp.”

His own team workouts is partially the reason why Heile has yet to schedule any other visits.

“I don’t have anything set in stone yet, but if there are any weekend camps that are close, I’m definitely going to try to attend.”

Heile also had some conversations with several coaches on Sunday, including Coach Summers, Coach Nord, and even Joker Phillips.

“They all like how I play. They want to continue keeping up with me, so I am going to send them film throughout the year.”

Kentucky, along with some Ivy League schools and Illinois, Vanderbilt, and Ball State have all shown interest in the Trinity lineman.

He currently holds one offer from Columbia University, but expect more offers to roll in as the summer progresses.
