A little birdy told me (also known as www.secsports.com) that our beloved rivalry game on Saturday, September 17th versus the Louisville Cardinals will not be nationally televised this year.
Per the site, which lists all televised SEC football games for the entire season, Kentucky only has one national game which is the season opener against Western Kentucky, on ESPNU. The TV schedule is still subject to change as several CBS spots remain open, as they are typically filled to showcase the “hot” team (Remember 2007?).
So don’t give up yet, with all of the high profile teams on our big blue schedule, combined each year with our opportunity to get on a roll, you never know what the season will hold, or what channel will feature the Wildcat nation.
