The recruitment of Caleb Azubike has heated up real fast this past month. After gathering up offers from Mississippi State, Northwestern, Western Kentucky, and Purdue this month; Azubike is down to Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Boston College, and Kentucky.
Even thought it may some a long shot for the ‘Cats, Azubike said wherever he picks next week may not be the same come National Signing Day in February.
“I’m deciding on July 1st. But my recruitment is not over til I’m officially signed on NSD (National Signing Day).”
The homtown ‘Dores seem to be the favorite along with a lot of great instate talent. But, for Kentucky, they may keep on him hard down the road.
The 6’5 240 pound end was a very high target on the board. With Joker being his main recruiter, the ‘Cats stilll may give a hard push before it’s all said and done.
Another positive thing the ‘Cats have going is the fact that Azubike has family connections in Lexington. His cousin, Collin Ukwu, plays defensive end for the Wildcats as a sophomore.
