Last year I was very excited to experience the beginning of Operation Win. I remember showing up for the first home game and getting to my seats as fast as possible. I just knew that this years pregame hype would be beyond anything in the past. Well, I was wrong!
It turned out being one of the most boring football experiences in the SEC. One of the best pregame moments is when the team enters the field. For some reason, they replaced the firing of cannons ,with a banner the team would jump and touch as they ran onto the field. Really, a banner?!!

People talk about traditions, but it’s definitely not shown in commonwealth stadium. There’s no War Eagle, Cow Bells, Towles, or anything else. Outside of “My Old Kentucky Home” and “First Down Kentucky”, there’s not much to get excited about.
So what about this year?
It seems UK Athletics has taken notice as they’ve sent out a survey asking season ticket holders how best to improve the football game day experience. Here’s the email that was sent…

We’re not sure if we can send the survey link out to everyone (if we can, UK Athletics please let us know), so we’re asking for your ideas here (just leave them in the comments).
Tanks, Fighter Jets, or maybe it’s singing “Sweet Caroline” after the third quarter (Ole Miss already sings this), it doesn’t matter how big or small, we want to hear it!!
