Summer is upon on and much like last season, there are rumors that Marcus Lee will either enter the NBA Draft or transfer.
According to Lee’s brother, transferring is not an option.
Here’s what he had to say to the Courier-Journal:
First things first: Marcus Lee isn’t transferring from Kentucky.
“There’s whispers every year, just because people feel like they know what’s better for him,” his older brother Bryan told The Courier-Journal on Tuesday. “But as he’s shown each year, he’s completely loyal to Kentucky. It’s kind of baffling that anybody would question that, considering what he’s done for the school and the impact he’s had on that community.
“It’s almost kind of a slap in the face to him that anyone would even question that, considering what he’s sacrificed.”
Just so there’s no confusion, his brother said, there are only two options for Marcus next season: he’ll either be a professional basketball player or a senior at Kentucky – because no, he’s not intimidated by yet another No. 1-ranked recruiting class coming in – and the former remains a real possibility, despite draft projections.
