Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski is now in the middle of a mess after audio surfaced of what he really said to Oregon’s Dillon Brooks in the postgame handshake line Thursday night.
Just as Brooks explained to the media after the game, Coach K told him, “you’re too good of a player to do that.”
Here’s the audio from CBS:

After the game, Krzyzewski denied that he said that and hammered the media for questioning him about it.
One might allege Coach K of being hypocritical when this stat is taken into consideration:
There were 7 instances this season in which a Duke starter took a shot in the final 45 seconds when the Duke lead was at least 15 points…

I guess Duke’s players aren’t too good to take those shots. Right Coach K?
