If you don’t know who JJ Jude is, then this might be the time to take notice.
JJ, a running back for Johnson Central High School, is already the KHSAA single game leading rusher in state history and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he broke his own record this season.
Jude had an unbelievable 9 rushes for 313 yards and 6 touchdowns this past weekend vs. Heath in a 48-7 win.
JJ was humble about the win and is looking forward to next week’s game already.
“It was a good confidence booster for us, and I am looking forward to playing Perry Central this week.”
When asked if he had any interest from Kentucky, JJ was excited to talk about any possibility there was to play for the Cats.
“Coach Nord contacts me a couple times a week,” said Jude.” “It is a dream for any kid from Kentucky to have a chance to play for the Wildcats.”
JJ is receiving interest from Eastern Kentucky and several other Division 1AA schools, so I asked him if he would be interested in walking on at Kentucky if there was an offer.
“It would something I would definitely consider, but my goal is to get a full scholarship somewhere.”
JJ Jude is definitely a kid to keep an eye on, and with the numbers he is putting up on a weekly basis one would think he would be right in the thick of the Kentucky Mr. Football race.
If he isn’t already, then he definitely should be…..
Here are highlights from his junior season.
