Joker Phillips spoke to the media yesterday, and the LHL’s John Clay was there to video some of the Kentucky coach elaborating on the running back position.

As long as I can remember, Kentucky has always had that one running back that Kentucky fans knew they could depend on.
Mark Higgs, Moe Williams, Artose Pinner, Rafael Little, and most recently Derrick Locke were all the no doubt #1 stud that was going to give you 20 touches and 100 yards on a weekly basis.
Now it sounds like there is a possibility we could see any of 6 running backs in the game…I love the sound of depth but for some reason it makes me worry that no one is separating themselves from the pack.
So, I guess we could see Raymond Sanders(who I think will see the bulk of carries), Jonathan George, and CoShik Williams. These are the guys you should already know from last year.
Other names we could be learning as soon as they walk off the bus in Nashville(that is if they are on the bus) are freshmen Josh Clemons, Brandon Gainer, Marcus Caffey, Edmund Allen Jr, and Derek Bishop. Clemons and Caffey are said to be the most likely contributers.
It looks like the Western Kentucky game will be a huge audition for the running backs, and it will be interesting to see if anyone separates themselves by the Louisville game.
