Greg Hart is Primary Tight-End for Kentucky Staff

Heading into Kentucky’s Junior Day weekend, Greg Hart (Class of 2013, Archbishop Alter High School, Ohio) was very familiar with what UK offered. However, after leaving Saturday afternoon, the tight-end was very impressed by the entire day.

“The whole day went really well. It was a lot better than I was expecting,” Hart began. “I felt a lot of love from the people. They showed me a lot of attention.”

In fact, there was major attention towards the 6-foot-5, 225-pound standout. The entire Kentucky staff is extremely high on the tight-end.

“I spent some time with Coach [Greg] Nord one-on-one, and we broke down some film. He explained how they use their tight-ends in the offense and all,” Hart explained. “He told my coach I was Kentucky’s top priority at my position for my class.”

That alone only piqued Hart’s interest in what the Cats have to offer.

“That made me feel really good, and it’s just a blessing to know that they are so high on me. We are just continuing to build our relationship.”

During the visit to campus, the Kettering, Ohio product also had the chance to take in the first half of the basketball game against Vanderbilt. The fan base and atmosphere really stood out to Hart.

“It was so loud inside the basketball arena. It was an amazing atmosphere, and I definitely wouldn’t mind playing in front of those fans inside Commonwealth Stadium,” Hart laughed as he was shocked with the passion of Kentucky fans.

Hart currently hold offers from Indiana and Ohio, but he feels that he will receive offers from Illinois and Northwestern within the next month as he goes to visit both respective campuses.
