UK Basketball Reported Another Drake Related NCAA Violation Last Year

Drake is involved for a second time in a reported NCAA violation against the University of Kentucky basketball team.

On Oct. 19 2015, UK reported to the NCAA a “Level III violation” involving Drake, according to an open records request obtained by the Herald-Leader. The violation involved “preferential treatment” after a Drake concert in Chicago on May 29, 2015.

The UK athlete’s name is redacted from the open records response. While attending a party after the concert, a member of Drake’s management team recognized the UK player and invited him to meet with the rapper.

Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, met with the UK player for three or four minutes, the report says. The UK player and rapper posed for a picture.

Later, that night, UK guard Tyler Ulis posted a picture of himself with Drake. Ulis is from Chicago.

This is a minor violation and UK was upfront with the NCAA as soon as they found out about it. I believe nothing more will come from this, but UK should try to distance its players from Drake in the future.
