Rushing into the next part of the spring preview series, we continue with another offensive player in the backfield, the running backs. After having 3 different starters last season, the position will be held out first by the primary rusher at the end of the season last year CoShik Williams, and secondly by the rising sophomore Josh Clemons.
After tearing his knee last season, the sophomore from Georgia is hoping for a big return. While it did not have many break out games last sesaon, the running back position is still up for grabs in many eyes. If Josh Clemons can return to form, he has the talent that has been proven to be the top back this fall. Before injuring his knee, Clemons was having a successful freshman year. However, the knee injury might have slowed him down a little.
But where does the CoShik Williams fit into place? Coming off a little break out year for himself, Williams is heading into tomorrow’s spring practice as the primary starter, according to Joker Phillips.
Coming up third in the rotation is once accountable Raymond Sanders. He disappointed many last season after many having high expectations about him being a big time contributor. Could this end up being his break out season?
All of the questions will be answered throughout the practices scheduled from now until the Blue/White game on April 21st.
